We will begin phasing out smart cards May 2023 as the pre-pay lots and metered spaces transition to Contactless payment only.
Smart Cards for Meters and Pay by Stall lots available at Armory and Ames City Hall
Smart Cards are available for purchase at the Parking Division Office - 2519 Osborn Dr. 27 Armory Building. There is a $5.00 one time fee to purchase a Smart Card and cardholders can stop by the Parking Division Office to add value up to $150 using cash, credit or Ubill. The cards are a valid form of payment on ISU Campus at pre-pay stalls in lot 21 (West of the Armory), Lot 100 (West of the Lied Center), East Campus Parking Deck and all parking meters.
You may also purchase a Smart Card and add value with City of Ames, located at 515 Clark Avenue. They accept cash or check to a limit of $50. Smart Cards are valid at any city meters with a smart card sticker.
You have the option to refund unused minutes to the penny when paying with Smart Card on ISU Campus. Refunds only return to the same card used for original transaction.
Smart card is not valid at the Memorial Union Parking Ramp or Ames Intermodal Facility.
Iowa State University shall not be responsible for reimbursements of the Card's value in cases of lost, theft, or mutilation of the Card, or use by a third person. No refunds shall be granted.
