Paying a Parking Citation
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)
- Checks or money orders
Note: Cash is not accepted
Payment Options:
- Online:
- Access the Parking Portal.
- Click the "Ticket" icon and enter your citation details to proceed with payment.
- By Mail:
- Send your citation along with a check or money order to:

- Send your citation along with a check or money order to:
- Drop Box:
- Place your citation and payment (check or money order) in the drop box located at the Parking customer service counter in the 27 Armory Building.
- In Person:
- Visit the Parking Services office at 27 Armory Building during business hours.
- Payments can be made using credit/debit cards at the self-service portal or by check/money order at the counter.
After 30 Days:
- Citations not paid within 30 days are billed to ISU Accounts Receivable and can be paid through your U-Bill.
- Payments for these citations should be sent to:

Appealing a Citation
Eligibility:
- You may appeal a citation if you believe it was issued in error or you were not in violation.
- Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the citation date.
- Citations cannot be appealed after 30 days.
Unacceptable Grounds for Appeal:
- Expired meter
- Forgetfulness
- Short duration of parking
- Another person parked the vehicle
- Failure to see parking signs
- Payment made via ParkMobile after citation issuance
How to Appeal:
- Online:
- Log in to the ISU Parking Portal and search for your citation to submit an appeal.
- Handwritten Appeal:
- Download and complete the Citation Appeal Form (PDF).
- Submit the form in person or mail it to:

After the Appeal:
- The Traffic Appeals Board reviews appeals.
- If you disagree with the board's decision, you may request an administrative hearing by responding to the appeal email.
Visitor Void Requests
Definition of a Visitor:
- An individual not currently affiliated with ISU (not a student, faculty, staff, vendor, contractor, or construction worker).
- The vehicle must not be registered to any ISU affiliate.
Eligibility:
- Visitors can request a void for most violations within 90 days of citation issuance.
- Only one visitor void is allowed per person in a lifetime.
- Once a citation is paid, it cannot be voided or refunded.
Ineligible Violations for Visitor Void:
- ISU Police moving violations
- Medical violations
- Altering or counterfeiting violations
- Unauthorized possession violations
- Illegal parking violations
How to Request a Visitor Void:
- Complete the Visitor Void Request Form.
- Ensure all fields are accurately filled out; incomplete or invalid information may result in denial.
