Towing or Impoundment
Vehicles that are in violation of any parking and/or traffic regulations may be towed to maintain order on the University lots and streets. Any vehicle violating Iowa State University rules may be towed without prior notice.
If your vehicle is impounded, you may retrieve it by:
- Stopping by the Parking Office (Room 27 Armory Building) during office hours, we will verify there is no hold on the vehicle. A hold could be for identification or retrieval of a permit.
- Stopping by Elmquist Deckers at 116 South Borne Street
515-232-6670. - A valid driver's license must be presented at both locations.
Impoundment may depend on the type of vehicle, the lot involved, and other surrounding circumstances not mentioned above. This regulation is in effect for all areas of the campus, whether signed as a tow away zone or not.
