Student Parking Permit Renewal Information

If you are purchasing a summer and fall permit, please select your summer permit first.
Summer Permits
Summer permits for the students listed below may be purchased online at 9am, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
· residents of Buchanan, Frederiksen Ct, Schilletter Village and University Village,
· lot 29 commuters
· Vet Med
Your new permit will be mailed to the campus address that you select.
2013-2014 Academic Year Permits
Returning students with a housing contract may go online to purchase a 2013-2014 permit at 9am on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – Monday, August 26, 2013. Your new permit will be mailed to the campus address you select.
Freshmen and Transfer students with a housing contract may go online to purchase a 2013-2014 permit at 9am on Monday, July 15, 2013 – Monday, August 26, 2013. Permits will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Your new permit will be mailed to the campus address you select.
Vet Med students can go online Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 9am – Monday, August 26, 2013 to purchase a 2013-2014 permit. If purchased before Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:59pm, your parking pass will be distributed to you the first day of Vet Med New Student Orientation. If purchased after Monday, August 19, 2013, your permit will be mailed to the address you provide.
Commuter students living outside the City of Ames during the academic school year, as well as ½ C base and above graduate students can go online Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9am – Monday, August 26, 2013. Your permit will be mailed to the address you provide.
If permits are still available in the Commuter lots, students living within the City of Ames will be able to go online Monday, August 05, 2013 at 9am - Monday, August 26, 2013 to purchase a permit.

· Lot 29 (this lot is north of Molecular Biology).
· Lot 68 (this lot is located off University Blvd near Haber Road); this lot would be closer for commuters with classes on the east and south side of campus.
· Lot 120 (this lot is located at Wanda Daley Drive - a walking tunnel under the railroad tracks brings you out near Printing and Publications)
Free commuter parking
The commuter lots at the Iowa State Center (A3, A4, B4, B5, B6) offer free parking for students, faculty/staff and visitors to Iowa State University. Please park your vehicle and ride the CyRide Orange route to campus free of charge. The commuter lots do not allow overnight parking.
